One printer or a hundred. Your data. Your rules.

Self-hosted command center for Bambu Lab - friendly enough to start with one printer, powerful enough to run a print farm.

Why BamDude

It's a fleet manager. Not a backend.

The classic flow - slice, hit Print, slicer talks to the printer directly - is fine for one or two machines. But when accurate history and real spool control start mattering, the slicer can't be the source of truth. BamDude flips the order: slicer to BamDude to printers. Hit Print, route it to a BamDude virtual printer, then in BamDude pick how many printers and how many copies. Files dispatch, swap macros run, history is written, every gram of filament is logged - across the whole fleet, from one place.

For the farm

A whole farm from a single dashboard

Send prints to several printers at the same time - parallel dispatch, no one-job-at-a-time gate. Per-printer queues with staggered start space out simultaneous bed-heat draws so the building doesn't brown out. SWAP-mode keeps an A1 farm cycling plate after plate through swap macros. Re-print onto any printer with the right AMS slots remapped from the source archive. G-code macros handle the small repetitive bits - chamber light, end-of-print sequences, calibration cycles - without anyone watching.

Where this came from

BamDude grew out of a volunteer workshop

The author volunteers with DrukArmy, Ukraine's largest volunteer 3D-printing effort for the front line — printing, and running the FPV direction as senior curator. BamDude came straight out of that work: batches, deadlines and a farm that has to keep moving around the clock do not fit any off-the-shelf tool. Every feature here earned its place on a real order first. That is also why Ukrainian is a first-class locale.

DrukArmy

DrukArmy

Ukraine's largest volunteer 3D-printing community, printing for the front line. BamDude was born in this workshop — and if you have a printer, there is useful work waiting for it.

Dragons of Defense

Dragons of Defense

A volunteer 3D-printing initiative: a 24/7 print farm making plastic gear for Ukraine's defense forces, with fully transparent finances — everything public, counted automatically.

AdditHub

Ukraine's #1 3D-printing marketplace: post a job and verified makers place blind bids — FDM, SLA and SLS printing, 3D modelling and post-processing.

Help wanted

Build BamDude with us

BamDude is a small open-source project run by a print-farm operator who needed a tool that didn't exist yet. The features you see came from real farm-floor problems - there's plenty more on the list. Whatever angle you want in, there's room.

Code contributors

Pick an open issue, fix a bug, ship a feature. PRs land on the dev branch.

Feature ideas + testing

Run a beta tag on your farm, share what broke and what you wished worked differently. Real-world stress is the most valuable input.

Translators

JSON-driven i18n in both backend and frontend - adding a language is a single PR. Currently EN + UK; whatever language your local print shop talks, we'll take it.
